The Time Fridge

Description

It's the Time Fridge!! This was inspired from the original design concept for the Time Machine in Back to the Future, where the first idea for the Time Machine was it to be installed onto a fridge. This was dropped in favor of the car because you'd want your Time Machine to be mobile (I added wheels to this version), and because they felt that kids might crawl into fridges expecting to travel through time (typical America really). This is found out in the commentary for Back to the Future Part I.

You'll notice that the Time Fridge has elements from the original DeLorean Time Machine from all Back to the Future parts, to the point of inconsistency with the original plotline. This occurs with the hover wheels from Part II and the box-device-thing from Part III. At the end of Part II Doc gets hit by lightning and gets warped to 1885 while flying, however this takes out the hover feature. He hides the DeLorean in the mine for Marty to find later in 1955 so he can get back home, however a chip was damaged and thusthey have to make a 1955 replacement, resulting in the box-device-thing. But, of course, the hover-wheels are taken out. Another item of note is the lightning pole, which is never seen after Part I, but I thought it'd be cool to have it in there (it's bent probably due to the impact with the Lightning Wire).

You'll also see a simplified fuel input wit Mr. Fusion (who have apparently helped in the construction with Outta Time Fridges), and a lot of room for rubbish-fuel. Other bits and pieces from the DeLorean have also made it in. A final piece of note is that the dates on the Destination Input Thingy are all the destinations in the movies (aside from 1985 of course). This was originally going to be in a block of cheese, but I couldn't fit the shelves on.

yes, except the first time fridge used a nuke to travel through time.
